Altwood Church of England School is a strong, thriving learning community, underpinned by our curriculum which is a broad and balanced range of subjects and experiences. Students can experience the curriculum inside and outside of the classroom. We seek to nurture the individual and meet the needs of students and families we serve.

We encourage our students to live life in all its fullness therefore our curriculum is not simply about academic growth, but also how students develop holistically, with hope and dignity. Creating a culture of high aspirations, seeking wisdom.

Students should be READY to learn, make progress and achieve and therefore be successful in developing their individual talents.

The curriculum will support students to be SAFE both in our learning environment and the wider community, so that they can cope wisely in different circumstances.

The formal and informal curriculum will support students to be RESPECTFUL of themselves and others, developing character so that we may all ‘flourish together’ socially and academically.
