Altwood Church of England School Enrichment Opportunities

Students at Altwood Church of England School enjoy an experience that goes well beyond the classroom, with a diverse range of lunch and after school activities and clubs to cater for all interests and abilities. Students are actively encouraged to engage with our enrichment provision and take advantage of the vast array of options to choose from. Everything from coding to musical theatre club, Fitness to book clubs, board games to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, is designed to enhance our students’ experience at the school, and to support their academic, personal development and career ambitions. Far from being just “fun and games”, our carefully structured and balanced programme allows students to extend their progress and experience.

Bringing students of different ages together to explore common interests together also enhances and strengthens our school’s unique sense of community, encouraging students to strengthen and develop new friendships, and to appreciate the value of teamwork and collaboration beyond their vertical tutor groups.
